In the "Sad but Ironic" category....

A 25 year old woman in Illinois was arrested for leaving her 3 children at home alone. The children were aged 4 and under. A neighbor discovered them and reported the situation to the police. Mom was arrested that evening around midnight when she returned from her outing with her boyfriend. She said she didn't know it would take so long.

Guess where she was? Go ahead GUESS! At a taping of "The Jerry Springer Show." I'm laughing like I did when the Searcy Fire Department burned to the ground. Does this get her a free pass to being a guest on the show, not just an audience member?

Belated Happy New Year

I haven't updated my blog since last year? Where has the time gone?

I can tell you where it's gone. Family. Church. Work. School. It's been an exciting year so far. Plans for the year include:

1. More prayer and study time
2. visiting our moms on an alternating monthly rotation. Gotta keep it fair.
3. Going to Haiti on Spring Break.
4. Finishing this semester without hospitalizations for any of us.
5. Not teaching summer school this year!
6. Family camping trip in June (and as many other times as possible).
7. Colorado in August!
8. San Antonio for the big wedding in August.
9. Surgery in September. I am SO excited. Can't wait for the NG tube again.

I don't know what else God has in store for us. I'm afraid to ask. He keeps some interesting things up His sleeve (He does wear a robe, doesn't He? When He posed for Michelangelo He wore one).

I just ask that He lead us gently along the way. Our edges are rough.
