Preschool Praise Team
On our camping trip this weekend, Terry and I were standing outside in the freezing howling wind trying to cook bacon and eggs for breakfast. Something I heard made me stop and smile. Stella was in the camper singing at the top of her lungs "You give and take away, you give and take awayayayay, My heart will choose to say, you give and take away!" She kept repeating that part over and over.
I asked her where she learned that song. She said she learned it from Mrs. Sandy at school. I taught her the rest of the words, and she went around singing it for a while. That tiny voice praising God was the highlight of my weekend. I'd like to think that's how God feels when I sing in my tiny voice to Him.
Blessed be Your name in the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name
when I’m found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name
Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in Lord
Still I will say Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name when the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s “all as it should be”
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering
Though there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

Hi Lisa from Lisa Underwood Burley!
I saw your post on my sister Sheila's blog and wanted to stop and say hello. Keith and I moved back to Searcy in the fall and I've been meaning to get in touch with you. It would be wonderful to have lunch and reconnect. I'll call your office sometime.
Lisa
Praise teams are dangerous; we must contain this.
Nice story. Posts about kids are always winners.
